Hobbit Picture Frame.

This Rustic Hobbit Picture Frame has been made out of French Barn Oak that dates back over 500 years.

This gorgeous old Oak had been used to house livestock in a French animal Barn,  it has an extremely weathered rustic patina that could tell a thousand tales.

The Oak has been Pit Sawn which was the only method of cutting trees centuries ago, I never sand wood this old as you’re then losing all the character and tell tale signs of historic timber,  I sympathetically clean the wood up retaining the original surface and feed it with copious amounts of wax to nourish and protect the old Oak.

This Picture frame has all the expected signs of being hundreds of years old,  it is not for somebody who doesn't appreciate imperfections!   

All of my picture frames come with glass, backboard and their fixtures attached.
