About ME

I’m Heidi Oliver and I’ve been working in the wood and architectural salvage industry for 16 years. With my experience and the running of my sister company ‘Rusticana Interiors’ there was a large demand for custom made rustic wooden picture frames out of Reclaimed Timber.

I can make any size Picture Frame or Mirror to your requirements, all the wood I use is authentic, reclaimed and of great age and character.

I share a showroom in Dunbridge, Hampshire with Blackstone Chalk Furniture and Wildlife Art on Wood, we are open daily so please get in touch if you would like to view our work or discuss a commission.

Heidi has made me the most beautiful bespoke frame for my cross stitch. Really high level of workmanship and it compliments the piece so well!

THE RECLAIMED wood

The Reclaimed Wood I work with often comes from ancient Barns and Historic Buildings, it is generally around 500 years old, and is Pit Sawn, meaning the whole tree would’ve been cut down by hand by two men and a very large hand saw, in doing this the Timber would have random saw marks and dinks which are still visible in the Picture Frames I make today.

The Oak, Elm and Chestnut I mainly work with gets Reclaimed from Barns, Cottages, Piers, Churches, and even Rivers, I source only the most interesting and characterful Wood I can find, often heavy Beams that I slice into workable planks for my Picture Frames and Mirrors, the old metal work and signs of wear and tear are what makes Reclaimed Wood so interesting, I always leave the Patina as original as possible.

I make Picture Frames that get sent all over the country and sometimes abroad, I have a workshop in Hayling Island, and a gallery in Dunbridge, Hampshire which you can visit for inspiration.

I waited 8 years to find the perfect picture frame, never quite finding what I was looking for then by luck found this amazing gem of a company.
