Elm Picture Frame.

This has been one of my favourite woods that I have had, unfortunately this is the last of it.

Salvaged from an ancient Barn in Oxford (which was owned by my favourite car enthusiast celebrity) where it had been used as flooring.

This Elm is Pit Sawn, the barn was ancient and dated back hundreds of years, the floorboards were over 16” wide and were original.

This Elm has been left as is, there are old nail holes still visible, drinks and dents, old signs of woodworm (treated) and all the expected signs of wood this age, This frame will not suit you if you are looking for something that's only mildly rustic!  

I’ve fitted this picture frame with a stone coloured mountboard.

This picture frame can be hung either way up.
